Monash Colloquium

‘Meeting space for organisation of world domination by short people who have too
much of an ego
‘ Monash University Colloquium, Friday 10th of December from 11.45am – 12.30am.

Nine people sat a communal table, not able to talk, they were given two sets of A4 paper. The first set used to write any comments about the process of making the artwork, how they think that they were involved, what they would like for breakfast tomorrow. On the second set of paper they were at liberty to communicate, however this was without words, so they used symbols, drawings etc. This was their only form of communication, and after it was hoped that a form of language would be formulated. However the interesting element was  that the drawings were interpreted in many ways. Conversations were misunderstood, but communication was possible. The idea of the artwork was that the participants are forming a dialogue, but using different modes of expression, within the restrictions.
