‘connections’ platforms in the park

‘Connections’ Platforms in the Park, Harmony Park, Melbourne

After collecting funding from both Creative Victoria and Moreland Council I arranged for both a Special Developmental School and a mainstream Primary School to participate in a long term Art project. Initially they worked on how they could find ways to communicate through artistic endeavour. Then in conjunction with a professional ceramicist, produced maquette’s. These will then be placed in the park in a sculpture of their own design to commemorate their inclusive project. This raised both the profile of the schools in the local environment but also raised the profile; of the artist and her ceramics practice.
